Keeping photos safe

Phone broken, photos gone? How to protect your memories.

Photos of weddings, grandchildren and trips are often on just one device. If the phone falls in the water or the computer gives up, they are gone. With little effort you can protect your memories.

The simple rule: two copies, two places

Keep important photos in at least two places. Then one mishap does not lose everything.

Your options

  • An external hard disk or a USB stick, kept safely at home
  • Storage on the internet, for example iCloud or Google Photos
  • Your best pictures printed or in a photo book

What to watch out for

  • Check now and then that the backup is still working.
  • Back up regularly, for example every month.
  • Give folders clear names, such as "Grandchildren 2026".

Setting this up takes a little work once, then much of it runs by itself. We can set it up in your home.

RememberA photo kept in only one place is not backed up.
